SLS – Selective Laser Sintering
Selective laser sintering is an additive manufacturing technique that uses a laser as the power source to sinter powdered material, binding the material together to create a solid structure. SLS is ideal for rapid prototyping and for low-volume production of component parts.
We use the engineering plastic PA12 in white.
Polyamid 12 (PA12) is a semi-crystalline thermoplast with the lowest water absorpition of all polyamides. It has extreme toughness and comparatively good chemical resistance. Therefore PA12 is highly suitable for bearing and driving elements in a humid environment which requires high dimensional accuracy.
Other materials as Alumide (PA12-MED), CarbonMide (PA12 CF), PA3200 GF are available upon request.
